Around Easter I found a really awesome recipe for a chex mix the likes of which I had never seen
It was called "Bunny Bait" {from Life in the Green House}
and it was a huge hit at our house!
So I decided to make a Halloween Version and have Dubbed it
MUMMY BAIT!
This stuff is crazy good!
I really got the idea to alter this recipe when I saw these new Candy corn white chocolate M&M's
2 of my favorite things rolled into one!
I broke up the pretzels and measured out the chex and popped the popcorn and threw them all in a bowl.
Then I added the bag of candy corn and the bag of M&M's
Mmmmmmm, melted white chocolate.....
Drizzled the melted chocolate over the top of the mix and did the biggest pain in the bum part of the whole gig.
Mixing it all without getting it freakin everywhere
Success!
Now just lay it all out on wax paper then sprinkle away!
It has to set for a while.
And TADA!! place in containers on counter for everyone to enjoy!
Recipe:
* 1 bag popcorn, popped {I used kettle corn, but you could also use "tender white"}
* 3 cups Rice chex
* Pretzels, broken {I used a little more than half of the 10 oz. bag, I like tons of pretzels in mine}
* 1 -9.90 oz. bag of Candy Corn White Chocolate M&M's {or you could use the fall colored ones if you prefer}
* 1 -11 oz. bag of candy corn
* 1 -12 oz. bag of white almond bark or white chocolate melting morsels {I used 1 1/2 bags because I like it to be extra coated)
1. Combine chex, popcorn, pretzels, candy corn, and m&m's in LARGE bowl.
2. Melt Almond bark/ white chocolate according to manufacturer's instructions
3. Pour melted chocolate/almond bark over top of mixture and stir until completely and evenly coated
4. Spread out over wax paper and add sprinkles immediately. Allow 15 minutes to set and cool.
5. Break up into large or small clusters and store in airtight container.
6. Enjoy! {And try your best to hang on to it, because everyone will want some!}
