I'm Like a Bird....

If I could have been born any animal 

I would've wanted to have been born a bird

(one gifted with flight of course, I don't want to hobble around like a penguin, although they are adorable)

Whenever I have been asked the super hero/power question

(ya know, If you could have a super power what would it be?)

I always choose flight.  

In actuality, I am kind of afraid of heights... and falling from them,

However, I think that being in control in a situation like that would make me feel much better about it.

For instance, I would mind standing at the edge of a cliff if I knew I could fly if I fell off of it.

Catch my drift?

Good.

Anyway.

As for what bird in particular I would like to be, 

That's a toughy.  

You can't go wrong with a bald eagle.

There are big and beautiful 

and protected from harm by law, so that would be awesome.

But then there's the Pelican

I have always loved them.  

Ever since we went on vacation in Daytona one summer and they would basically hover in front of our balcony in huge groups I have wanted to know what it was like to be one and just float on an ocean breeze

There are so many amazing and beautiful and smart birds out there.

My step mom has these awesome books about Florida Birds (she's orginally from Florida) 

And I love to look at them, even though I have gone through each at least a dozen times.

And Whippoorwills are really cool too.  

It would be nice to get away with having face whiskers

as a lady. lol

And you can sing all night long!

Flamingoes are pretty awesome 

They are big and goofy and of course PINK!

Birds are fascinating.  

So, yeah, If I could've been born any animal, it would have to be a bird.

But next it would be a cuttlefish
