Waiting for My Dearie...

Today's challenge was pretty difficult.

My husband and I are big movie dorks and we have so many favorites

But after thinking about this challenge since yesterday I have finally come to a decision.  

If I were an actress and could play a role in anything it would have to be the part of Cyd Charisse as Fiona  in Brigadoon.

For those of you who haven't seen this movie

Your life has thus far been incomplete.  

I grew up watching old movies with my mom all the time, 

I love them.

And Lord knows I wish that more movies nowadays had the same qualities!

Brigadoon is an awesome movie (and also a musical) 

about a magical village in Scotland,  

Also starring Gene Kelley and Van Johnson.  

This movie has become mine and my husband's favorite of all time

It's funny and sweet and tremendously romantic.

There's dancing and singing and amazing costumes

I would want to play this part JUST for the costumes!

Cyd Charisse is an amazing actress and an even more amazing dancer. 

She was world renowned for those amazing legs that went on for days!  

I think that since I can't really dance and I definitely can't sing I wouldn't be able to play her part in this film, 

But the challenge wasn't "what part are you capable of playing"!  

hahaha
