Custom Keyboard Kitty "Ivy"

Recently I received a message in my Etsy shop from a really sweet lady asking if I would consider doing a custom Lackadaisicat (Keyboard Kitty).

{{Honestly, I felt like a dope that I hadn't thought of it before she asked!}}

So, needless to say I was totally stoked to give it a try.
I asked for pictures of the kitty and she sent me these:

This is her Boyfriend's cat Ivy.

My only concern was that she has some complicated markings on her legs and belly.
But after talking to my husband I decided this was totally doable!

I then asked what kind of glasses she would like Ivy to wear and she sent me this:
which is awesome because I have been wanting to do a kitty with 3D glasses

So here we go!
Got her legs, ears, tail, body and head cut out

Studying my pictures

getting some stuff done now!
got my glasses under way and the legs figured out.

I stitched on the white with a zig zag stitch and then pinned the legs right sides together

Got them flipped (which was quite a task) and here they are!

Next I stitched the pattern on the belly half and then placed the flipped legs and tail in position and pinned it all together and stitched all around except for a space about 3 inches wide (for stuffing)

I stitched 2 sides of the ears and flipped those as well

Got her sweet little face done and now it's time for some stuffing.

I used the cluster fluff stuffing because it is just awesome.  It feels a lot like down alternative.

Pouring in the poly fil pellets.
they are all over my floor btw...

I attached the head with a doll joint (like used for doll arms, so they swivel) and this way she can have a little attitude.
I have never used the doll joints on the keyboard kitties before, but Lord knows it is easier to attach this way.

anyway, then I stitched up the bottom of the head after I finished stuffing it.

Here's the finished close up of Ivy.
Cute, huh?

Here she is in front of my Christmas tree
I hope she makes for the perfect Christmas gift!

here she is in her rightful position!
I love her so much.

I may actually have to make one that looks just like my cat!

Claymore!  He's my real life Keyboard Kitty

I really hope that Lucinda and her boyfriend really love my little Lackadaisical version of Ivy!
