Custom Keyboard Puppy "Cooper"

I got a really great response from my Custom Keyboard Kitty "Ivy"

So when I got another message on Etsy to make a custom keyboard creature

 I was none too surprised.

I was however a little surprised by the subject matter

I had never done keyboard Puppies, because for the most part cats are all the same 

and there are so many different variations for dogs.

I'm Like a Bird....

If I could have been born any animal 

I would've wanted to have been born a bird

(one gifted with flight of course, I don't want to hobble around like a penguin, although they are adorable)

Today's task in my "Month About Me" is a little tricky.  

The challenge is "If I could choose any year to have been born I would have chosen the year ___because…"

Now, I have had many an answer for this question through the years.

When I was in 5th grade I wished that I was a teenager (in the 90's) so that ?I could be like the girls from "Clueless".

 with their feather pens and knee high socks.

I remember thinking that was the absolute most awesome fashion statement ever...

Today's challenge was pretty difficult.

My husband and I are big movie dorks and we have so many favorites

But after thinking about this challenge since yesterday I have finally come to a decision.  

If I were an actress and could play a role in anything it would have to be the part of Cyd Charisse as Fiona  in Brigadoon.

My Very Favorite Place

I haven't been to very many places. 

I've been no further west than Jeff City, MO 

No further north than NYC

No further south than the Florida Keys

and no further east than the land will take me. 

Which serves as a decent segue into what is my favorite place

My Favorite Color is....

For the longest time my favorite color was pink.

And I'm not just saying when I was a little kid...

I'm saying like My early 20's everything in my closet just about was pink.

I was obsessed.  

Here in more recent years I have really gotten away from it.

I much prefer purples and teals now (especially together).  

I just got to feeling like Pink was kind of immature to be wearing all the time.

I had my daughter and that is what made my image feel like changing.  

I feel like teals and purples look good on me and 

I feel like they are more modest rather than attention grabbing colors.

{I'm married, I don't need to grab anyone outside of the home's attention!}

I wanted to start behaving and dressing more like a mom.

Not a Fuddy-Dutty Mom, but a classy Mom.

"The 25 Best Things About Me"

I am not a "Braggy" person.  

I am not one to toot my own horn or be self-serving.  

I haven't always been this way.

If you had asked me maybe 6 years ago I am sure I would have easily been able to come up with 25 of the best things about me.  

So this may be a struggle, and know that this is not an attempt to brag or anything of the like.

It's just part of the "assignment"!

So this may end up being more of a "25 best influences/blessings in my life" post.

Handmade Granny Square Blankets for My Babes

Some of you frequent readers 

(are there any of those??)  

may remember me saying I was going to make Granny Square blankets for my kids for Christmas

Well, I got them done 

(and NOT at the last minute, believe it or not!) 

They both came together quite nicely and I am so proud of my work!

So I wanted to share!

 I love these colors all together.

I decided on them based on her bedding color scheme as seen here:
