Wise Words Wednesday # 8

I know that I have the issue now and then when things get difficult or tense where I look at myself and think, "Ugh, what the point??  Why am I trying so hard?!"
This verse from Galatians stays on my inspiring passages list for just that reason
So that I can look at it and remind myself,
Nothing bad can come from doing good.
Sometimes the good that can come takes longer than we may like, but it's on the way.

Just be still and wait for it.

Wise Words Wednesday # 6

This is something that has always been a personal struggle of mine.
It has come more and more easily to me however in recent years to trust the one Thing I know for sure above all else and that is God.

I took this picture on a road around the corner from my house, you may remember it from this post.

I thought that the curve in the road that you can't see around was the perfect personification for this scripture.

Wise Words Wednesday # 5

I took this picture out in my front yard of our pear trees when they were in bloom this spring.

They were so gorgeous
and I remember wishing they just looked like this all the time, and that got me thinking to how temporary everything here on earth is.

That's why I chose this verse from Isaiah.

Perfect Avocado Ranch Dip

I am a complete and total sucker for all things Avocado
I love the color the smell the texture the flavor
the whole bit

This dip envelopes all of those things and adds it with the cool refreshing flavor of ranch
This dip is awesome with chips or veggies
we also use it for quesadillas, sandwiches and burgers.
Due to the versatility and deliciousity (is that a word?) this is the Perfect Avocado Ranch Dip
It tastes Fancy but is so easy to make!

Spring Brings Change...

the Bradford Pear in bloom in my front yard

Spring is not my favorite season, it never has been.  I can't really explain why, it's just always been kinda "meh" in my book.
My husband was telling me the other day why he loves spring so much and I realized I need to start looking for the beauty in spring.

Ship Shape @ the Post Office

Today I went to town
(which by the way is 8 miles away from my house.... I wasn't kidding when I said I live in the country!)
Because I needed to ship a Hiding Hollow Book that I sold on Etsy over the weekend.
(whoop whoop!!)

On the Corner of Zebina & Campground

Out here where we live in the country there is no garbage pick up.  You fill the can til you can fill in no more, then you load in your truck and haul it off to the dumpsters....

It's smelly and inconvenient...

However, the dumpsters that I take my garbage to have this really neat very old brick building just in front of them and I have always wanted to take pictures of it.

So last week when I was finishing up dumping the trash I realized I had my camera
(in it's awesome little choochoo bag)

Birthday TUTU-TUtorial

TUTU-TUTORIAL

When my daughter turned 1 I talked to a girlfriend of mine, who is a photographer part-time, and asked if she would do a photo shoot of Grace for me for her birthday, she happily obliged and did it for me for FREE!  I was so stoked!!  So, we planned what she should wear and we decided that with her strawberry blond/red hair we should do reds and turquoise (a favorite color scheme of mine)  I found most parts of the out fit and decided I wanted her to have an over-the-top tutu to wear for it!

I wanted the tutu to have some depth so I went to the fabric store and bought a yard each of three different colors (light blue, a richer turquoise and a pretty green) of tulle that together would give a nice turquoise color with a lot of depth.
