Team Schmow Zow! Tough Mudder here we come!

Most of you who read often or follow me on Instagram
know that my husband and I are participating in the Georgia Tough Mudder 2013
and I just received this email the other day:
wow... this just got real...

Look at some of the obstacles in store for us
I can't believe it is already basically here.
less than a week left.
just, whoa.
They are saying this is probably the best mud of the year, and I'm thinkin'
DUH... This is Georgia.

I am scared as all get out
But I am also so crazy excited.  its just...
 ACK!!

My dad is coming with us and he's going to take pictures,

I'm really excited about that.  My husband is really indifferent about pictures being taken, and that didn't change with this milestone of an event.  I kept going on and on about wanting someone to come and take pictures of us and his attitude was kind of flippantly "Ugh".
But I didn't care, I want pics.
Thanks Dad

I forwarded my dad the email and he read the waiver you have to sign (EVEN JUST TO SPECTATE) and he started getting nervous for me.  At which point he had a dream that some tiny little redhead cold-cocked me at the start line.  I told him not to worry because my man will be there with me, and we're on the same team.
TEAM SCHMOW ZOW!
Those of you who are Adventure Time fans will get that reference.
We are HUGE fans, as you can see from how we dressed our kids for Halloween last year

So, This Saturday I will be tough-mudding it up!
whoop whoop!

We went and got some cold weather gear at which point of course the weather got ridiculous and turned super warm.
So that figures.
I got this awesome jacket from Under Armour

Anyway, it's really not a big deal if it turns out to be hot,
We have warm weather gear already (I mean, this IS Georgia)
So we will be ready either way.
We also got some gloves, they are highly recommended on the website so avoid splinters and protect your hands.

I am super thrilled too for another reason and that is that by some miracle my husband managed to get 6 straight days off with the Tough Mudder right in the middle.  So I am really looking forward to spending time together this super duper long weekend, however that means I gotta cram in as much studying as I can before then.
(I feel guilty when I have to study when he's home)

I tell you what, the thing I am looking most forward to would have to be the victory beer at the end and being rewarded with the ceremonial Orange Sweatband!
Woot woot!
And of course, I can't wait to share this amazing experience with my best friend in the whole world
My awesome Husband.
(yeah yeah, cheesy I know.  Don't care though.)

Wish us luck y'all!
