Spring Brings Change...

the Bradford Pear in bloom in my front yard

Spring is not my favorite season, it never has been.  I can't really explain why, it's just always been kinda "meh" in my book.
My husband was telling me the other day why he loves spring so much and I realized I need to start looking for the beauty in spring.

Like flowers blooming, and everything turning lime green with new growth.
Everything comes back to life in spring
Thankfully here in GA we are like the nation's capital of tree farming
so our winters are never completely devoid of green because there are literally thousands of acres of planted pines all around us.
But pines disappear into the background when all the hardwoods wake up from their hibernation and brighten the landscape.

This spring has been full of personal changes for us too.
I also feel brought to life thanks to our Tough Mudder 2013 accomplishment and it has given me a new lease on life as it relates to weight loss and exercise.
For the first time in a good while I feel really stoked and hopeful about losing weight.

These past couple months have been jam packed
I forgot how much I thrive under conditions like this.  The faster the better.
I stress myself out of course,
but all in all it has been rewarding being all over the place with so much to do!

One of the many things on our list this month was purging the house a little so
We had a yard sale last weekend and made a couple hundred dollars and got rid of a ton of crap that was just taking up space in my shed.
Now I've got a bunch of stuff I need to list on Etsy
including some super awesome very vintage lace and hankies from my grandmother's collection.
this nest has been here for a few years.  No one has moved in yet this year.

Yesterday my husband had a job interview and it went really well, so there may be even more changes in store for us.
Fine by me.

I've learned that life is easier if you just embrace the changes that come along...

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens"

So whatever God has in store for us, I'm wide open to it.

In the meantime, I'll stop and smell the flowers and enjoy the spring and all that comes with it.
There's no sense in not liking it....
it's just gonna keep coming back every year any way.

I agree about Spring! I've always thought of it as kind of a weird transition season...summer but not quite (summer is my fav!) Great pics.
