Progression of an Irish Wolfhound

While putting off my math homework today
I went through some pictures on the computer of my sweet baby Maggie

Well....  She was a baby here:
I fell in love with her from this pic, look at the little outline of a heart on her chest!

Not so much anymore.  It's hard to believe it was only a year ago that she was this tiny.
Now she is a genuine, dyed-in-the-wool monster of a dog...
with the gentle heart of an angel.
(Sounds cheesy and hokey, I know
But it's so true)

I decided to throw together a quick little photo montage of the progression of our Sweet Magma to show you just how much a year has changed her....
Enjoy!
Maggie with her Mama and siblings (she's the blue collared one buried in the middle)

the day we picked her up from the Airport.  She was 9 weeks old
she was so sweet
Daddy loving tiny Maggie, now she is taller than him when she stands up
count on a puppy to fall asleep just about anywhere.... especially in the most inconvenient places
her first bath!  look at those sweet little white toesies!

all she did these first days was sleep and potty.  I forgot just how much puppies sleep!

Claymore was bigger than her back then

She really liked to "help" me study

She never turns down a chance to cuddle with her Daddy

love this awkward lanky stage

loving her Bunnygirl.  These 2 have a strong bond

Maggie has always loved riding ANYWHERE in the car. of course now she would never be able to fit in the front seat!  this phase was short-lived!

she still looked so dark back then because all her wirey hair hadn't started growing in.
she LOVES walks!

"Hey Mom!"

"I'm not too big to sit in your lap am I?"

Always ready for a walk, or playing in the yard
oh yeah, that's a mid air shot.

she will KILL the evil water!!

Maggie makes for the perfect bus stop buddy too
Mommy gets cuddles too
I used to think it was totally bogus when people would say their dogs liked to be dressed up... then I started jokingly putting clothes on Maggie, only to find that she really does love it.  Too bad they don't make dog clothes big enough for her.... I'm thinking I'll have to just make some.
She loves her Tristan.  However, I think she considers him a toy

Oh yeah, and she thinks she is a Mother now.... to our kitten....
my beautiful girl posing.
She's as tall as she will get now, but she still has some filling out to do.

"WHOWHAT was that?!"

"Let's go Mom!!"
I just wanted to share with you all just how awesome our dog is.
If you have any questions about Wolfhounds let me know!
And if you want to see more pics of Maggie check out my Instagram
I STAY posting pics of her on there.

our trainer thinks our pup is part wolfhound and after seeing your progression of pics, i'm pretty convinced! right now she's only 4.5 months old and is already 40lbs. she has a bit of a beard coming in too :)
