Handmade Granny Square Blankets for My Babes

Some of you frequent readers
(are there any of those??)
may remember me saying I was going to make Granny Square blankets for my kids for Christmas

Well, I got them done
(and NOT at the last minute, believe it or not!)

They both came together quite nicely and I am so proud of my work!
So I wanted to share!

*******

I love these colors all together.
I decided on them based on her bedding color scheme as seen here:

Now here is Tristan's:

notice the 2 yellow squares at the bottom left that don't match!
Lol, I ran out of the right yarn and couldn't find it anywhere!

Love these squares

Wrapped and ready.
Every year for Christmas we let them each open one gift, and we decided this would be the one this year.

loves it!

she looks excited!!

she kept telling me over and over how much she loved it.
That means a lot coming from a 3 year-old!

cuddled up on the couch with their new blankets!
It was hilarious because they were both so tickled with the fact that they could make their toesies stick out through the holes!  hahahaha

All-in-all the blankets were a huge hit!
I'm so glad I put in the effort for my babies to have yet another handmade gift from me to keep forever!
