I Think It Was... 1980... Something

Today's task in my "Month About Me" is a little tricky.

The challenge is "If I could choose any year to have been born I would have chosen the year ___because…"

Now, I have had many an answer for this question through the years.

When I was in 5th grade I wished that I was a teenager (in the 90's) so that ?I could be like the girls from "Clueless".
with their feather pens and knee high socks.
I remember thinking that was the absolute most awesome fashion statement ever...
Yikes...

When I was in high school I was a bit of a hippie for a little while.
I wore my hair down and naturally wavy it looked pretty hippie-ish and I wore tie-dye shirts and sported my grateful dead sack purse
and did other stereotypical hippie things.....
if you catch my drift.
I'm not proud of it.

At several points in life I have wished to be born in different times solely for the purpose of wardrobe envy.
Like, obviously I wouldn't have wanted to live during the Civil War,
however every time I watch Gone with the Wind I wish I lived then so I could wear those amazing dresses!

The same goes for Watching I Love Lucy and other old movies from that period
I love their hats!!!

And come on, let's be honest.
Who doesn't Wish to have been a teenager in the 80's??
Me and my friend Katy when we had our 80's ladies night

At this point in my life, I just don't have a preference for another time.
As cheesy as it sounds
If i hadn't been born at exactly the time that I was then I wouldn't have this life, and I am so happy to have this precious husband and these sweet children.

lol, I was a "stereotypical hippie" as well ;) I have a hard time putting a pin point on the time that I would have chosen to be alive in, but if I HAD to choose, I'd say the early early 1900's. It seems like such an exciting time of invention. I think I would have loved to see new things happen. But our day now is like that. I LOVE seeing newer and better things be invented. It blows my mind that people think of the things they do.
