Suitcase Love

When I was growing up we had super old suitcases all over my house.
For decoration, storage, for anything really.
Old suitcases hold a special place in my heart for sure.
And up until the other day I had no idea just how many i had!
I even have a very old saxophone case with real velvet inside, that i just adore.
I'll have to do a whole other post for that one.....
I also have my little "choo choo bag" where I keep my Camera.
Ok ok.... I'm obsessed...

Anywho, I went to the Salvation Army in Sandersville (about 35-ish miles away) a couple weeks ago and happened upon these little lovelies:

Awesome right?!?!
Even better than how awesome and retro these are is that I paid $5 bucks for the whole set...
You read that right.
F-I-V-E!
So obviously, I HAD to snatch them up and make them mine

So now I have some awesome extra-adorable storage for yarn and projects in progress!
And it's way cuter than just a storage container!

Can't help but love that God-awful phlegm yellow-green! The big one has the same interior.

I love that the smallest one came with that mirror inside!  that's a first for me!

Do you have a similar collection/obsession?

Wow you found an awesome bargain there! I have a similar pair (small & medium) in green that I use to store scrap fabrics in. I've seen those kind of cases for £45+ (~$70?) at vintage shops here, which is insane lol Your $5 set is a fantastic score :D

right?!?! I could hardly believe it either! The locks on the smallest one are a little sketchy at times, but I'm figuring them out. :) Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment!

Green!! I'm green with envy! that's just crazy that they are that pricey! The trick for me finding such good prices is that I live in a very rural area with mostly old folks so they don't know what they got in the way of antiques, and everyone has them sop no one else snatches them up but me! ;)
