It's T-Shirt Time!

I love T-Shirts.
I mean, that's just all there is to it.

I made my husband a t-shirt quilt for Christmas a couple years ago
And thought that I would start collecting more shirts to make other quilts with.
It started small...
But of course, it turned into a huge operation.

My local Thrift store is awesome.
Everything is dirt cheap
For instance, t-shirts are $0.25!
Prices that low make it easy to increase my stash!

Last week I went to the "Good Samaritan Thrift Store" in town and picked up 29 new t-shirts!

I have so many now that I have started sorting them by genres.

Sometimes I can find some brand name t-shirts and clothes that I plan to turn around and sell on ebay when I have a big enough lot of them.

But these would also be good for a green color scheme quilt...

I collect a lot of outdoorsy T's, because hey, it's easy.  I have told you I live out in the sticks right?

I like to get a lot of Georgia-themed or associated shirts too.  That way if we ever move away from GA we'll have a memoir.

I love church/Christian/VBS t-shirts too.  I have tried to gather as many as I can that don't have church names all over them (which is hard!).  This praying mantis one rocks!  <3

Sometimes I just find some that don't really fit in a theme, but might later...

I have decided that I am most definitely making a "geek" Quilt.  That category makes up the majority of my T-shirt stash actually!  So here are a few that I picked up for the Geek Quilt this trip

So, I bought 29 T-shirts for $0.25 a piece and that brought my total to a whopping $7.25
You can't beat that deal with a stick!

Thrift SCORE!

I'm stopping over from Bacon Time. I love the categories for the quilts. My favorites are the VBS ones and the Georgia ones. Good luck with the quilts!
